Fishstock 2012 – the Buskers Festival

Over the Easter Bank Holiday the Fish Quay hosted the first Fish Quay Buskers Festival (or Fishstock, as it was called by many!) For 3 days over visitors were treated to over 70 of the best regional buskers performing for free to entertain the crowds on the Fish Quay. Despite some rain the artists rocked the Quay with a variety of sounds ranging from from original acoustic singer songwriter material folk, traditional celtic and bluegrass and rock n’roll. Packed with local performers from all ages they entertained the crowds and visitors in the cold and sometimes the rain, with true professionalism. This event was the largest free buskers festival in Europe and was hailed by many as huge success despite the unpredictable weather. The festival raised much needed funds for the RNLI.
